Idaho Governor Brad Little leads a contingent of state and business leaders on a trade mission to Europe later this week.

The group departs Saturday for a six-day diplomatic mission to promote positive economic relations between the Gem State and the Basque Country in northern Spain, the Netherlands, and Ireland.

Directors and staff of the Idaho Departments of Commerce and Agriculture join the governor and First Lady Teresa Little on the trip.

The meetings with the Basque Autonomous Community Government will encourage trade relationships and investments, and strengthen the long-standing friendship and cultural connections between Idaho and the Basque Country.

While in Amsterdam, the contingent meets with leaders at cold storage company NewCold , and another firm that develops storage and processing solutions for agricultural products.

In Ireland, Idaho officials will gather with leaders and employees at Glanbia, the Gem State’s largest dairy processor headquartered in Kilkenny, and will take part in a roundtable with Irish business leaders. (Idaho Gov. Brad Little)
