Wednesday marks the 18th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and first responders from the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding areas pay tribute to the emergency responders and civilians who perished that day with a procession of emergency vehicles. Fire engines and other emergency response vehicles gather at 2nd and Monroe Street in Asotin at 5 PM. The procession begins at 5:30 and travel past fire stations in Asotin, Asotin County Fire Protection District #1, Clarkston, and Lewiston where flags will be lowered to half-staff as the procession motors pass each station. Citizens are encouraged to show their support along the normal procession route. (pictured below)
