Nez Perce County Commissioners have voted to begin negotiations with the Lewiston School District to purchase land near the fairgrounds.
The school district has shown interest in selling the soccer fields near the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds.
If the county chose to buy the land, it would not pay more than the appraised value. Money for a purchase would come from the fairgrounds budget.
No decision about purchasing the land was made Monday, but both entities will begin discussions. (Lewiston Tribune)
