Crews have reached 20 percent containment on a wildfire burning in the Meadow Creek area near Harvard in Latah County.
The Prospect Fire is now listed at 358 acres, and is predominately on private industrial lands with no structures or homes threatened. The fire continues to burn in the interior of the fire perimeter in slash piles.
Boundaries have not changed for the past several days, and reports indicate fire behavior as minimal with creeping and smoldering in places. Friday, crews are checking piles for hold over heat and continuing progress with mop up.
A temporary flight restriction is in effect. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. (Idaho Department of Lands)
