A man has died following a house fire early Tuesday morning in Clarkston.

Fire crews responded to blaze at 1310 10th St. after receiving a report just after 2:30 AM.

A 65-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was treated at the scene and taken by Lewiston ambulance to Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston where he later died from smoke exposure.

Investigators say the two-story house had two living units, and one other person was inside when the fire broke out. He was able to get out without serious injuries.

The fire spread through the structure quickly, and after nearly 90 minutes, firefighters left the building and suppressed it from outside.

A cause of the fire has not been reported and there is no word on the estimated damage to the house. (Clarkston Fire Department, Lewiston Tribune)
