Crapo re-elected to chair Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee

Idaho Republican U.S. Senator Mike Crapo has been re-elected to chair the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee during the 116thh Congress.

The Banking Committee has broad jurisdiction over matters regarding financial services, capital markets, mortgages, urban development, transit, international sanctions, and reviewing foreign investment activity.

In addition Crapo will remain a member of the Finance, Judiciary, and Budget Committees, each of which promotes pro-growth economic policies and prioritizes constitutional principles.

Senator Crapo will also continue to serve as the Chief Deputy Whip among Senate Republicans, a leadership position that assists Senate Republican Whip John Thune of South Dakota in the primary legislative messaging role during the session.  (U.S. Senate)
