Idaho Governor Butch Otter has appointed Don Beck to fill a vacancy on the Nez Perce County Commission created by the recent resignation of Commissioner Bob Tippet.
Beck will serve out the remainder of Tippet’s term which will end in January.
Beck’s name was submitted to the Governor along with two other candidates by the Nez Perce County Republican Central Committee.
Beck, a 40 year resident of the Lewiston area, is running for the commissioner’s seat in next month’s general election against Democrat and Lewiston City Councilor Bob Blakey. (Idaho Governor’s Office)
