After garnering Frontier Conference Runner of the Week recognition earlier this week, Lewis-Clark State Men’s Cross Country senior Jonny Handel has been named the NAIA National Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Handel led the 4th ranked LC men’s team to a fifth-place overall finish at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, hosted by the University of Idaho. The Warriors were the top non-NCAA Divsion I program at the meet, and Handel posted one of the fastest times in school history.
Handel and the LC Cross Country teams continue their season on September 14th when they head to Pullman for the Washington State Cougar Classic. (LC State Athletics)
