After a successful meet for the Lewis-Clark State Cross Country team, senior Jonny Handel and sophomore Emily Adams have been named Frontier Conference Runners of the Week.

Handel led the 4th ranked men’s team to a fifth-place overall finish at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, hosted by the University of Idaho last weekend. The Warriors were the top non-NCAA program at the meet and Handel posted the

best non-NCAA finish, coming in 35th in the field of 89.
Adams became only the fifth LC woman to run a 4000 meter race in under 15 minutes, placing 15th overall. The 25th ranked Warrior women placed fourth overall – the best among the non-NCAA teams competing.
The LC Cross Country teams continue their seasons on September 14thh at the Washington State University Cougar Classic.
