Cottonwood woman dies, two others injured in car accident on Highway 95

A Cottonwood woman was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 95 Sunday night near Cottonwood.

According to the Idaho State Police, 18-year-old Alexus Cane was traveling north in the southbound lane in a 2000 Kia Sephia at just after 8 PM when her vehicle collided head on with a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup pulling a camper trailer near milepost 254. Cane was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the pickup’s driver and a passenger were taken to St Marys Hospital in Cottonwood non-life threatening injuries.

The accident blocked the roadway for 5 hours, and the crash remains under investigation. (ISP)
