More than $145 million in private support was given to Washington State University during the 2018 fiscal year – the school’ss third-best fundraising year in its history.
More than 53,800 donors contributed during the fiscal year that ended June 30th. WSU says the money has created scholarships and fellowships, advanced outreach programs, and helped pay for research and capital projects. In all, donors invested more than $64.4 million in private grants and gifts, with an additional $17 million in private support that helped form scholarships and graduate fellowships.
WAZZU’s endowment had a net gain in market value of more than $37 million to finish the fiscal year with more than $502 million. There were $24 million in new contributions and additions. (Lewiston Tribune)
