A Winchester man was killed Sunday when he was struck by a car while walking along Highway 95.
According to the Idaho State Police, 47-year-old Shawn Cody was walking on the northbound shoulder just north of Winchester at 12:30 PM when he entered the roadway and was struck by a 2003 Toyota Tundra driven by a man from Lucile. Cody was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses say Cody was stationary on the side of the road and then made an intentional move into the lane of travel. ISP says the vehicle involved had no time to avoid the collision, and no charges will be filed. (ISP)
