The deadliest flu season on record in Idaho is getting deadlier.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reported eight more deaths from influenza in the last week of March. That brings the total to 94 as of April 2nd.

Last year was the highest year on record before the 2017-18 season. The Gem State saw 72 deaths, well above the average of 23 per year.

Experts say this may be the deadliest year for Idaho since 1918 when the Spanish Flu claimed hundreds of lives. (KMVT)
