The Lewiston City Council has appointed former City Manager Jim Bennett to one of its two vacant seats on the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport Authority board.
The appointment to the five-member panel will only be for a few weeks, so the board can legally meet and have a quorum while the city looks for long-term candidates to fill the vacancies.
The board has seen three resignations in the last month, two of whom are city appointees. The third was appointed by the other four board members, while the remaining two members are assigned by Nez Perce County.
The city of Lewiston will accept applications through February 19th. (Lewiston Tribune)
