A Moscow teenager faces five years probation after entering a plea agreement in connection to last July’s shooting death of a Pullman 18-year-old.

Matthew McKetta pleaded guilty to felony counts of principal to grand theft and principal to destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence Monday afternoon in Latah County 2nd District Court.

17-year-old Keagan Tennant, of Pullman, was accused of shooting and killing Tim Reeves during a camping trip near Troy, while
authorities say McKetta helped in hiding Reeves’ body.

Witnesses say Tennant was pointing a rifle at Reeves as Reeves held a revolver in Tennant’s direction when Tennant allegedly fired and killed Reeves.  Tennant is also believed to have shot at another camper.  Witnesses say McKetta and Tennant rolled Reeves’ body in a tarp and dumped it in the woods near the campsite.

Tennant earlier entered into a plea agreement, pleading guilty to a number of charges including involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.  He faces up to 40 years in prison when sentenced in March if the plea agreement is approved, while McKetta would receive adult probation when he is sentenced in April.
