Idaho Governor Butch Otter and First Lady Lori Otter will hold a “Capital for a Day” celebration next week in Genesee.

Otter says the event Tuesday brings senior decision-makers from throughout state government to hear directly from citizens about the issues that matter most to them.  The event takes place from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Genesee Fire Department on Walnut Street.

Other state officials expected to attend include Lieutenant Governor Brad Little, Department of Labor Director Melinda Smyser, Department of Environmental Quality Director John Tippets, State Board of Education Executive Director Matt Freeman, Idaho Fish and Game Commissioner Dan Blanco of Moscow, and State Historical Society Board member Earl Bennett, who lives in Genesee.

Regional officials from various other state agencies also will be on hand to answer questions. (Lewiston Tribune)
