The University of Idaho’s new $45 million basketball arena being built on Moscow campus will be called Idaho Central Credit Union Arena.

ICCU made a $10 million gift towards the facility, giving it the naming rights for the next 35 years.

ICCU, headquartered in Chubbuck and first opened in 1940, now has 33 locations across the state.

The 62,000-square-foot, 4,200-seat arena will host Vandal basketball programs and other activities.

The arena will be built on the north side of the Kibbie Dome, with groundbreaking expected once funding for the entire project is secured.  Currently, $34 million has been raised toward the facility.  (UI)
