LC hires new volleyball coach

Lewis-Clark State College has hired Shaun Pohlman as its new volleyball coach.

A graduate of the College of Southern Idaho and Idaho State University, Pohlman comes to LC after seven seasons at Northwest College in Wyoming.

He spent his first four years as a head coach at Dodge City Community College in Kansas.

Pohlman’s teams at Northwest College won four Region IX titles and advanced to the NJCAA national tournament four of the past five seasons with final four appearances twice.  He was the District Coach of the Year four times, and was a two-time recipient of the AVCA West Region Coach of the Year Award and National Coach of the Year nominee.

His teams also achieved in the classroom with nine successive NJCAA National Academic Team Awards and five AVCA National Academic Team awards.  Pohlman also coached numerous all-region and all-American players, as well as national and regional individual academic award winners.
