ITD opens DMV offices statewide as work continues to resolve computer issues

itd

The Idaho Transportation Department Monday opened all Division of Motor Vehicles driver’s license offices throughout the state as the agency works to resolve computer issues that arose last week.

Over the weekend, ITD’s driver’s license vendor, Gemalto, added additional server capacity in an effort to resolve the computer problems that led to extremely slow times for transactions to process.  While the move isn’t a permanent fix, ITD says it may provide relief while officials identify the long- term solution.

The computer glitches do not reside at the counties, but rather with the ITD system.   (ITD)
