Man sought in Lewiston double homicide arrested in Oregon

Lewiston Police say the person of interest in a double homicide investigation has been taken into custody by authorities in Umatilla, Oregon.

73-year-old Richard Carlin was being sought in regard to a Lewiston Police Department investigation into the double homicide that occurred at a mobile home in the 600 block of Preston Avenue shortly after 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say two adults were killed in the home, while a third victim is reportedly in serious condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with a stab wound to his back.  The names of the victims are not being released at this time.

Lewiston police are working to get arrest warrants for Carlin and search warrants for the mobile home where two dead bodies were found.
