Lewiston Police say a person of interest in a double homicide investigation has been taken into custody by authorities in Umatilla, Oregon.

Lewiston Police Lieutenant Jeff Klone says 73-year-old Richard Carlin was being sought following information obtained from a stabbing victim being treated at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
The double homicide was reported at a mobile home in the 600 block of Preston Avenue in Lewiston shortly after 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigators say two adults were killed in the home, while a third victim is reportedly in serious condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with a stab wound to his back.
The names of the victims are not being released at this time.
