The Lewiston Police Department is currently investigating a double homicide that occurred in the 600 block of Preston Avenue shortly after 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Richard Carlin
Investigators say two adults were killed in the home, while a third victim is currently is serious condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with a stab wound to his back. The names of the victims are not being released at this time.
A person of interest in the case has been identified as 73-year-old Richard Carlin whose last known address is in Lewiston. However authorities have not located Carlin.
Police say Carlin may be driving a red 1996 Toyota Corolla with Idaho license plate N100378.
Police say Carlin should be considered armed and dangerous and the public should not attempt to contact him and call 9-1-1 immediately. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Richard Carlin is asked to contact Lewiston Police at (208) 746-0171.
