Asotin County town hall looks at pedestrian crossing at Critchfield/SR 129

A town hall meeting is scheduled for Monday evening in Asotin County to discuss pedestrian crossing options at Critchfield Road and State Route 129.

Many walkers, runners, and cyclists park at the bottom of Critchfield Road in order to cross the busy highway to access the levee system.

Officials want the public’s feedback on alternatives under consideration, including constructing an overpass or underpass at the site, installing a roundabout, or asking the state to install a traffic signal.

Monday’s meeting begins at 7 o’clock, following the 6:30 p.m. night session of the Asotin County Commission at the Courthouse Annex.  (Lewiston Tribune)
