A Washington man died and three others were hospitalized following a collision involving one vehicle and two motorcycles Saturday on U.S. Highway 12 west of Clarkston.

According to the Washington State Patrol, 69-year-old John Seger of Medical Lake and 58-year-old Heidi Wilson-Seger, both of Medical Lake, Washington, were eastbound on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles at 3 p.m., when a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 42-year-old Ian McWilliams of Pomeroy allegedly crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with the motorcycles.

WSP says John Seger was pronounced dead at the scene.  Wilson-Seger, McWilliams and an 8-year-old male passenger in McWilliams’ vehicle were all taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.  McWilliams was treated and released, according to the hospital, while Wilson-Seger and the juvenile were transported by air ambulance to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane in stable condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and charges are pending, according to WSP.  (Washington State Patrol, Lewiston Tribune)
