A murder trial begins Monday for a man accused of killing a Coeur d’Alene police officer two years ago.
29-year-old Jonathan Renfro is charged with first-degree murder for the May 2015 shooting death of Sergeant Greg Moore. On Thursday, Renfro pleaded guilty to two other felonies – grand theft and eluding a law enforcement officer.
Prosecutors say the handgun Renfro used to shoot Moore was stolen from Moore, while the accused also took Moore’s patrol vehicle and to elude police.
The murder trial is expected to last about six weeks. (AP)
