Firefighters throughout the LC Valley will take part in the annual “Fill The Boot” fundraising campaign Saturday in Lewiston and Clarkston.

Money raised supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Lou Gehrig’s Disease and related muscle-debilitating diseases.

MDA Executive Director Leah Nathan says they are thrilled to have firefighters from all valley fire agencies help in the effort to help kids and adults affected by these diseases live longer and grow stronger.

Firefighters will fan out at various valley locations from 9am to 3pm Saturday.

In Lewiston, donations will be accepted near the intersection of 21st Street and 19th Avenue.

In Clarkston at the intersection of Bridge Street and Diagonal Street, the intersection of 15th Street and Fleshman Way and also at the intersection of Fair Street and 5th Street.

Last year more than 100,000 firefighers took part in Fill The Boot events across the country and raised $24 million.  To date the firefighters have raised $607 million since 1955.  (KOZE News)
