The Lewis-Clark State Volleyball team has been picked to finish in a tie for fourth in the Frontier Conference preseason coach’s poll.
Defending champion Carroll College was chosen to repeat with six first-place votes with Montana Tech and Rocky Mountain tied for second. Tied with the Warriors is Providence University. Rounding out the poll are Montana State-Northern and Montana Western.
The Warriors were 3-9 in league play last season and open the 2017 season this week at the Hope/Vanguard Summer Slam at Fullerton, California. Their first match of the two-day event is at 8 a.m.Wednesday morning against Morningside followed by a noon match against Westmont.
On Thursday, the Warriors play Dordt at 8 a.m. before concluding the tournament at 6 p.m.against College of Idaho.
LC’s first home match is Friday, September 8th, against Walla Walla University. (KOZE Sports)
