A preliminary hearing for an Orofino woman accused of killing another woman last month has been rescheduled for July.
Jessica Colpitts is held in the Clearwater County Jail on a $500,000 bond in connection to the May 22nd shooting death of Samantha Fignani.
According to police reports, Colpitts went to Fignani’s home over her ex-boyfriend, who was reportedly involved with Fignani. When Fignani opened her door, Colpitts allegedly shot her with a shotgun.
The victim died later at the hospital.
Colpitts’ preliminary hearing on a first-degree murder charge was postponed two weeks ago and on Monday the hearing was set for July 17th. (Lewiston Tribune)
