A Lewiston man originally convicted of killing his ex-wife six years ago has been found guilty of first-degree murder again following a re-trial in North Idaho.

A jury in Coeur d’Alene deliberated for three-and-a-half days in the case of Joseph Thomas, who was initially found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2011 strangulation death of Beth Irby-Thomas at her Lewiston residence.

However, his conviction was overturned by the Idaho Supreme Court on appeal, and the case was remanded back to the lower court.
