St. Joseph Regional Medical Center has officially been purchased by RCCH Healthcare Partners.

Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, RCCH Healthcare Partners acquired St. Joe’s from Ascension Health for $109 million.  The transaction was approved by the state of Idaho Attorney General’s office on March 20, 2017.

As part of the approval, the Attorney General will oversee the creation of a $25 million Foundation dedicated solely to serving healthcare needs of the Lewiston community consistent with the Catholic mission of SJRMC.  The Foundation was created from a $23 million donation from Ascension combined with a $2 million donation from RCCH.

The transaction includes a $2 million donation from Acension to All Saints Catholic School in Lewiston.  The school now hopes to move forward with the construction of its new building adjacent to All Saints Church at 3330 14th St. in Lewiston.  The school is presently located next-door to St. Joe’s on a site that was previously acquired by the hospital.  (St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Lewiston Tribune)
