LC’s Fish/Robinson Claim Weekly NAIA West Awards

Lewis-Clark State’s Matt Fish and J.J. Robinson both the claimed weekly NAIA West Baseball awards.

Fish, a senior from Kalamazoo, Michigan was the named the league’s Pitcher of the Week.  The lefthander picked up his second complete game victory with a one run win over Corban on Saturday.  He held Corban to four hits, while striking out 6 in the win to improve to 6-1 on the year.  It was the second time this season Fish has been named Pitcher of the Week.

Robinson, a senior from Colfax, hit three more homers against Corban over the weekend to run his tally to 19, good for tenth all-time in a single season in LC history.  He hit for a .333 average totaling six RBI and four runs.  Robinson now ranks sixth in the NAIA in homeruns and 18th in RBIs with 62.  

The Warriors are off until May 26th when they open play in the Avista NAIA World Series at Harris Field inside Ed Cheff Stadium.
