The Lewis-Clark State baseball team will not compete in the NAIA West Tournament May 5th  through 7th in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Warriors are currently in first place in the conference standings, but because of their automatic berth into the NAIA World Series, have decided to allow Oregon Tech an opportunity to extend its season.

OIT is currently in fourth place in the league standings, just behind third place College of Idaho.

The NAIA West Tournament is a three-team, double-elimination affair with the champion claiming an automatic berth into one of the nine NAIA National Opening Round tournaments.

LC will play its final NAIA West series on the road this weekend in Salem, Oregon against Corban University.  The series begins Friday at 3pm with the resumption of a game called by rain in Lewiston a few weeks ago with LC leading 4-0 in the top of the 3rd inning.  A second game will follow Friday.  The series continues with a double-header at 1pm Saturday and a single game at noon Sunday.

All the games will be carried live on AM 950 KOZE and online at www.koze.com.
