Authorities continue to seek information on the whereabouts of an Orofino teenager who disappeared Saturday night.
The Orofino Police Department says 17-year-old Kristian Perez was reported missing by his mother after he left his high school prom at the National Guard Armory at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Perez was apparently driven to the prom by a relative, whose vehicle was located by police. Perez’s tuxedo jacket, a shoe, and his broken cellphone were recovered near the vehicle.
A canine tracking team was able to follow Perez’s scent from the armory West to a nearby parking lot along U.S. Highway 12, but the track was lost there, where police believe Perez may have entered a vehicle. He also may have been sighted in the Lewiston area.
