Open burning in Asotin County begins Saturday and continues through the end of May.
The limited burning of yard waste is for unincorporated areas of the county and the city of Asotin. Burn pile sizes are restricted to 3 feet high and 4 feet wide, and must be completely doused by 5 PM.
Prior to burning, residents should call the daily burn conditions line at (509) 243-2002.
Copies of the burn restrictions are available at the Asotin County Building and Planning Department in Asotin, or the Asotin County Fire District No. 1 office in the Clarkston Heights. (LMT)
