Idaho lawmakers have sent to the governor’s desk the fiscal 2018 Permanent Building Fund budget.

The House on Friday approved the $71.4 million spending plan on a 52-17 vote.

The bill includes $10 million for LCSC’s new Career-Technical Education facility in the Lewiston Orchards, as well as $10 million for the University of Idaho’s proposed Center for Agriculture, Food and Environment in the Magic Valley.

Both allocations are contingent upon an equal $10 million in matching funds before any state money is released.

The budget also includes $687,000 dollars for roof repairs at the Idaho National Guard Youth Challenge program in Pierce.

The governor is expected to sign the budget into law.  (Lewiston Tribune)
