Orlandi, Tackett Claim All-American Honors

With their deep run in the NAIA Women’s Basketball Tournament and success all year, Lewis-Clark State’s Caelyn Orlandi and Brittany Tackett have been named NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball All-Americans.

Orlandi earned First-Team All-American honors while Tackett was named to the Second-Team list.  Last year, the duo was awarded as well with Orlandi garnering second team honors and Tackett third team distinction.

Orlandi finished the year leading the NAIA in total assists, assists per game and assist to turnover ratio.  She also broke school records for most assists in a season and most assists in a career.  During the season, she averaged 14 points and 7 assists per game.  In the NAIA National Tournament, she averaged 17 points and nine assists per game.

Tackett led the nation in field-goal percentage, shooting 65-point-3 percent on the season.  She averaged 13 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. 

Behind Orlandi and Tackett the Warriors set the record for most wins in a season with 35 and their national runner-up finish is the best in program history.
