A Lewiston man convicted of killing his drinking buddy nearly four years ago has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

57-year-old Patrick Nuxoll was sentenced Friday following his October murder conviction for the May 2015 stabbing and beating death of David Cramer.

Investigators say Cramer was found dead in Nuxoll’s home drenched in blood with cuts and blows, and several defensive wounds following a night of drinking, while knives with Cramer’s blood were found in the residence.

Nuxoll has maintained his innocence, claiming another person was to blame for the crime. Defense attorneys say they plan to appeal.  (Lewiston Tribune)
