The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections stands to get a 2.2 percent increase in its spending for Fiscal Year 2020.
The Legislature’s joint Finance-Appropriations Committee Tuesday endorsed a $53.2 million budget for Juvenile Corrections, which was slightly more than requested by both the agency and Governor Brad Little. The amount takes into account about $3 million in federal funds.
Included in the budget is $720,000 dollars for replacement items, and $680,000 for an increase in employee pay.
The spending plan still needs approval from the full Legislature, though lawmakers rarely stray from JFAC’s recommendations. (AP)
