Lewiston’s Overtime Tavern and Grill to close after New Year’s Eve

The Overtime Tavern and Grill in east Lewiston is closing its doors after more than 30 years.

The establishment’s owner says the closure after Monday is necessary due to redevelopment of the area at the end of East Main Street.

Lohman Helicopter bought the land surrounding the Overtime for a planned maintenance and operations facility. The purchase included an adjacent parking lot previous owners had let the Overtime use for extra customer parking. However, Lohman’s need for the space will eliminate the extra parking, and the Overtime chose to close its doors, with New year’s Eve serving as its last night of operations.

The property will be sold to Lohman, which will bulldoze the bar. (Lewiston Tribune)
