Idaho Governor Butch Otter says he’s received positive initial feedback from the 11 Idaho companies and organizations that joined him on a trade mission to Toronto, Canada two weeks ago.

Otter says the four-day trip, which coincided with the announcement of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, was an important opportunity to work with Idaho’s top trading partner. In 2017, Canada represented over 20 percent of total exports from Idaho.

The trade mission was coordinated by the Idaho Departments of Commerce and Agriculture, and participating organizations represented a range of Idaho industry sectors including aerospace, renewable and nuclear energy, robotics, animal supplements, agriculture, safety and security, and forestry equipment.
