Minor traffic interruptions are expected in downtown Lewiston Friday during an emergency preparedness exercise.
The exercise will close Fifth Street between the Levee Bypass and Capital Street from 6 AM to 6 PM. Fifth also will be blocked in front of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
The practice event is organized by the Nez Perce County Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with the 101st Civil Support Team, Regional Response Team, and St. Joe’s. Several city, county and state agencies will be involved.
Light smoke and emergency vehicles may be visible from residences and businesses in the area throughout the exercise. (Lewiston Tribune)
