The Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to Lewis-Clark State College toward the construction of the college’s new Career and Technical Education Center in the Lewiston Orchards.

In 2017, the Idaho Legislature approved funding to build a $20 million CTE facility, with half the funding needed to be raised by the school before the state matches the amount. LCSC aims to start construction within the next academic year, and it’s scheduled to open in time for the fall semester of 2020. The new 75,000-square-foot complex would house seven of LCSC’s 10 Technical and Industrial programs currently on the Lewiston campus.

The grant is in addition to the Foundation’s annual scholarship support of $75,000 to LCSC students. (LCSC)
