Five first-timers highlight NAIA World Series field

The NAIA World Series field is set and includes five first-tme qualifiers.

The newcomers are Reinhardt of Georgia, Southeastern of Florida, Northwestern Ohio, Freed-Hardeman of Tennessee, and Antelope Valley of California.

They join 2015 national runner-up St. Thomas of Florida and perennial powers Oklahoma City, Georgia Gwinnett and two-time national runner-up Faulkner of Alabama.

Those nine teams plus three-time defending national champion Lewis-Clark State will begin play in the Avista NAIA World Series on Friday, May 25th at Lewiston’s Harris Field, inside Ed Cheff Stadium. (KOZE Sports)
