Teams begin to qualify for NAIA World Series

The University of Northwestern Ohio and Reinhardt University of Georgia have become the first two teams to qualify for the Avista NAIA World Series. 

Northwestern Ohio, of Lima, Ohio, qualified by winning the Willimsburg, Kentucky Opening Round Bracket, and will be making it’s first-ever NAIA World Series. 

Reinhardt of Waleska, Georgia earned a berth into the series by winning the Bowling Green, Kentucky Opening Round Bracket, and will also be making their World Series debut. 

Faulkner of Alabama has also qualified for the sixth year-in-a-row after sweeping through the Montgomery, Alabama bracket.  The Eagles, who’ve finished 2nd the past two seasons will be making their 7th World Series appearance overall. 

Six more teams will qualify over the next couple days and will join host Lewis-Clark State for the NAIA World Series May 25 through June 1st at Lewiston’s Harris Field.  (KOZE Sports)
