A Kooskia man faces charges following the alleged beating of another man Sunday near Kooskia.
38-year-old Kevin Gamboa has been charged with aggravated battery after Idaho County deputies responded to the River Junction RV Park Sunday morning at about 10:40 A.M.
Authorities say Gamboa allegedly struck 61-year-old Haneford Benware, also of Kooskia several times in the head, elbow and back with a pipe before neighbors intervened. Gamboa fled the scene after the incident and Benware was taken by ambulance to Syringa Hospital in Grangeville for treatment.
Officers made contact with Gamboa along Woodland Road where he was taken into custody and later released on his own recognizance. (Idaho County Sheriff’s Office)
