Lewis-Clark State College swept the weekly NAIA West Baseball Player of the Week honors.
Justin Hammergren was selected as the Pitcher of the Week, while Kasey Bailey brought home the Position Player of the Week honor.
Hammergren, a junior from Tucson, Arizona, threw a total of six innings in LC’s series opening win over Concordia – allowing only three hits while striking out six.
Bailey, a senior outfielder from Tacoma, Washington, played a hot hand in the Warriors’ sweep of the Cavaliers – finishing the weekend with a batting average of .538 and a slugging percentage of .923.
The top-ranked Warriors are off to a 6-and-0 start and travel to California this week for a four-game series with Antelope Valley beginning Friday at 2 p.m. (KOZE Sports)
