An Orofino man accused of tying up two women and robbing them at gunpoint in Lewiston faces felony charges.

A $100,000 bond was set Tuesday in Nez Perce County 2nd District Court for 28-year-old Jacob Taylor, who is charged with robbery, first-degree kidnapping, and burglary.

Police say Taylor and another unidentified man entered a home in the 2100 block of Ninth Avenue last week and bound two women with rope and stole jewelry and prescription medications.  The suspects left the home and the women were able to make their way upstairs and cut the binds.

Taylor was arrested four days later, but authorities say he has been uncooperative with investigators and refuses to identify his alleged accomplice.   The second suspect remains unidentified, and officers are trying to find him.

Taylor’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 18th.  (Lewiston Tribune)
