The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office says a man was pulled safely from the railing of the Southway Bridge Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to the individual standing over the railing on the north side of the bridge on the Lewiston side, just before 4 o’clock. Several agencies assisted in coordinating the bridge closure as well as speaking to the individual.
After several attempts, the man was pulled from the railing and safely detained for a medical evaluation. (NPC Sheriff’s Office)
