Lewiston’s Northwest Children’s Home is expanding into Clarkston with a transitional living facility.

The so-called Triumph program focuses on young adults ages 18 to 21 who are making the move from residential treatment to independent living.  Those who have successfully completed services at the Lewiston group home can voluntarily reside at the Clarkston center to focus on important life skills, such as cooking, personal finances, and finding employment.

Initially, only one or two occupants will be in the rental house on Diagonal Street, but it will serve as many as four young adults, and it will be staffed 24 hours a day with fully trained employees.  (Lewiston Tribune)
