Two Latah County murder suspects who were arrested in Washington after fleeing could soon be back in Idaho.

A Ferry County judge on Monday approved an extradition request to move Matthew McKetta and Keagan Tennant back to Latah County, possibly as early as Tuesday.

The two are accused of playing a role in last week’s shooting death of 18-year-old Pullman High School student Tim Reeves.  The suspects stole a car last Wednesday night and fled the area.  They were taken into custody Friday in Curlew, Washington, just south of the Canadian border, and on Monday, they waived extradition back to Latah County.

The 17-year-old Tennant is charged as an adult with involuntary manslaughter and attempted murder, while both suspects are accused of trying to conceal evidence.

Under Idaho law, details of the charges cannot be released to the public until the suspects have appeared in court.  (Lewiston Tribune)
